What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Rainie Falls Trail for its beautiful riverside views and the rewarding workout it provides. While the 'falls' are more subtle rapids, the scenic path and challenging terrain make it a favorite for those seeking an active outdoor experience. Some find the rocky path difficult, and the falls less dramatic than expected.
"NOTE: I'M WRITING THIS REVIEW FOR THE RAINIE FALLS TRAIL ITSELF THAT STARTS RIGHT BEFORE THE BRIDGE LEADING TO THE GRAVES CREEK BOAT RAMP.
Wear durable foot gear made for rocky and uneven terrain. I put this first because this ~4 mile hike has sections that are jagged, uneven rocks that are easy to get your foot suddenly pulled into at an uneven angle that could result in a sprain+. There are also a lot of drop offs and incline/decline stretches. This is a good workout hike that is absolutely gorgeous. I love this trail. We go back a very long way. Be sure you have plenty of daylight so you can take your time and pace yourself. For the young, fit, active, this is a relatively easy hike. For those getting older in years or those - like me - who deal with some physical disabilities, this is a hike to take seriously. Be careful. And never go when it's raining. Above all, be safe."

"Not much of a falls but a fun, short hike nonetheless. You do need waterproof shoes or preferably boots on this. Also lots of sharp rocks so good shoes are a must. Bathrooms are here too."

"We were a bit disappointed to discover that the "falls" was basically just a slightly more dramatic part of the rapids, but there were also several smallish creeks/falls along the path. Plus, it was a beautiful hike. So no complaints, we just would have kept walking and searching for the falls if another hiker hadn't pointed out that we were already there. Legitimately had no idea we had reached our destination! Definitely worth doing but maybe don't get too excited about the waterfall."
