What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Looe Key Reef for its exceptional marine life and healthy coral formations, making it a top spot for snorkeling and diving. While the natural beauty is a major draw, some reviews mention cleanliness issues at the resort and a limited menu at the tiki bar. The dive and snorkel tours themselves are frequently lauded for their knowledgeable crews and exciting wildlife encounters.
"I’ll start with our room. The room wasn’t exactly gross but it certainly was not clean. I found the prior guests dirty washcloth still hung up over the shower rod. There were dirty drips on the walls. Sketchy is the best descriptor I can give here.
Tiki bar - we ordered an appetizer, then went elsewhere for dinner. It’s a very simple fried bar menu, not a restaurant menu.
The 1 redeeming feature was the snorkel. We all had a really good time."

"Captain James and Rob were fantastic... Very knowledgeable. Didn't mind answering any of our questions. Nice boat ride out to the reef where we saw sharks, turtles and all kinds of fish!!! Highly recommend this tour."
Crystal Hines
"Went on the morning snorkel trip to Looe Key the crew was super upbeat and friendly despite the weather not cooperating.
Our boat was half divers and half snorkeling it was a great trip we decided to snorkel with our friends instead of diving but we are definitely coming back to dive with this outfit based on our experience today.
We saw nurse sharks, a bull shark, a black tip shark, barracuda, Spanish mackerel, tons of colorful parrot fish, and big schools of reef fish. We did two locations and both were gorgeous."
