What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Raystown Lake's stunning natural beauty, clear waters, and diverse recreational opportunities, making it a top spot for boating, fishing, and family fun. While some note the surrounding area could offer more of a 'lake ambiance,' the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views are consistently praised, with many hoping to return.
"This is a beautiful lake, excellent for jet skiing, boating and fishing. Very nice beach areas and beautiful views"
Kelly
"Lake was glass, not too many fish to catch that week. Great experience for the family."
The average Joes review.
"Finally made it here. It's been on my bucket list for a while. I was really impressed with the area, however, being the largest lake in PA, I was expecting more of a lake ambiance in the surrounding area, like you see at the ocean. In the area where the Visitor's Center is, there is a nice walking path, a park area, and a camping area; but is geared toward accommodating mobile homes, and people with boats. It is a nice peaceful get-a-away, and I hope to get back."
