Reviews Summary

Remington Hot Springs offers a unique, natural hot spring experience with silky, mineral-rich waters and beautiful river canyon scenery. Visitors love the relaxing soak and the 'soft' feel of the water on their skin. However, the springs can become very crowded, leading to concerns about cleanliness and a less tranquil atmosphere, especially on weekends. The hike down can also be steep and sandy.

"Locals love this place. It is suffering from every sign of overuse. Astro vans full of people were coming in to use the pools and this was midweek.

The water was very 'soft' and silky, however it was dirty, the overflow couldn't keep up to keep it clean with the number of people and it felt kind of gross to sit in. Two ladies were raking up and hiking out lots of trash including glass which is banned. Thank you to them. Steps were built into the trail at some point but the switch backs have been cut forever so now it's a very steep sandy dirt slope.

I had my swim suit in a bag and when I unpacked it the next day it noticably smelt of faeces.

The river and area is absolutely stunning."

Jennie Daniels

"Go early. It's a trek, both to get to the location (at least an hour from Bakersfield on a no-traffic day), and then a pretty steep climb down to the water to get to the springs. This is one of those hidden local phenomena that were popular before Google put it on the map, but now there's 50 people trying to fit into springs that hold about 15. I was one that wanted to see it, so yes, guilty, too. Checkbox, won't go again."

Tim Murphy

"It was great. It can get super crowded. Be patient, don’t crowd others in the pools, take your time."
