What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Smith Park is a well-loved community space in Rexburg, praised for its shaded walking paths, family-friendly atmosphere, and sports facilities. Visitors appreciate its well-maintained grounds and the less crowded feel compared to other local parks. However, some note that it can get surprisingly busy, and amenities like drinking fountains may be unreliable.
"Love Smith Park! It's never as busy as Porter Park which is really refreshing sometimes. The paved path that goes around the park and past the veterans memorial has a lot of shaded areas with big trees along the path. In the spring and early summer there are usually multiple kids baseball games going on. During that time it can be really busy on the north side of the park. But the picnic pavilions, tennis court and play ground area aren't as busy. Wild 🦉 Owls can be heard at night in the trees and the landscape of the park are well taken care of by the city. Public bathrooms are locked at night and usually the drinking fountain near the bathrooms don't work. So bring your own water. Plenty of shade at Smith Park which is a plus."

"This park is in Rexburg Idaho. This place is nice. It's a big park with a lot of space to play baseball, frisbee, a history of wars memorial, big toys, two baseball fields, and lot soft trees. This park is well maintained and I would say is a bit nicer than Porter Park just because there are less people. There is a giant tractor that's cool to look at. This park is awesome."

"Surprisingly busy park. Baseball diamonds if you're into that. Hill for sledding that turns to ice pretty fast. Decent playground equipment. Bathrooms. Overall, it's a pretty good park, except the busy part."
