Took a lovely 15 mile run around Summit Metro Parks. On this loop I started on Perkins Trail and filled that to the Furnace Run Trail. That crossed the road over to Rim Trail which took me over to the Plateau Trail. From the trails end at Riverview Road, I ran up to the Deep Lock Quarry. That was a fun little loop to see the old canals and where they dug for stones to mill with. The Ohio and Erie...

Reviews Summary

Furnace Run Metro Park is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and accessible trails, making it a great spot for family outings and casual hikes. However, the proximity of some trails to the highway results in significant traffic noise, which can detract from the desired peaceful, serene experience for some visitors.

"Easy trails, beautiful scenery. Very clean restrooms. Little noisey being alone the highway. Over all great park to walk."

Ryan Preisendorfer

"Beautiful park. The trails are easy natural stone and dirt. Old Mill is about 1.2 miles. Rock Creek is 1.4 miles. Very well kept. There's a beautiful pond. Very nice looking pavilion that you can reserve as well as picnic tables. I really enjoyed this park. However the one very negative thing which isn't exactly something that could be helped. The trails run alongside the highway. It's incredibly loud as semis and motorcycles rip on by. It kind of ruins it for me. When I go in the woods I prefer it to be a peaceful serene experience. Kind of hard to get that with a freeway you can see and hear. Like I said I know it's unavoidable but this will likely be the only time we go here."

S Haywood

"We visited Furnace Run Metro Park with friends and family and had an amazing time! We caught some bluegill fish this season, and the kids had a blast. The park is clean, peaceful, and a great place to relax and have fun. Perfect for a family outing!"
