What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Furnace Run Metro Park is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and accessible trails, making it a great spot for family outings and casual hikes. However, the proximity of some trails to the highway results in significant traffic noise, which can detract from the desired peaceful, serene experience for some visitors.
"Easy trails, beautiful scenery. Very clean restrooms. Little noisey being alone the highway. Over all great park to walk."
Ryan Preisendorfer
"Beautiful park. The trails are easy natural stone and dirt. Old Mill is about 1.2 miles. Rock Creek is 1.4 miles. Very well kept. There's a beautiful pond. Very nice looking pavilion that you can reserve as well as picnic tables. I really enjoyed this park. However the one very negative thing which isn't exactly something that could be helped. The trails run alongside the highway. It's incredibly loud as semis and motorcycles rip on by. It kind of ruins it for me. When I go in the woods I prefer it to be a peaceful serene experience. Kind of hard to get that with a freeway you can see and hear. Like I said I know it's unavoidable but this will likely be the only time we go here."
