Embrace the Off-Leash Fun

Point Isabel is a premier off-leash dog park, so expect many happy pups! If your dog loves to socialize and run freely, this is paradise. For those who prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting during weekdays or early mornings to avoid peak doggy playtime.

Dress for the Bay Breeze

The Bay can get surprisingly chilly and windy, even on sunny days. Locals and visitors alike recommend bringing an extra layer, like a jacket or beanie, as it's often colder here than in nearby Oakland. This will ensure a more comfortable exploration of the shoreline.

Sunday funday for Kylie 🐶. If you like to have your dog off leash to run around and go swimming, this is the perfect spot. They also have a doggy spot right there so you can wash your pup. Kylie got her nails trimmed there and everyone was super friendly. #dogsoftiktok #dogwalk

Point Isabel Regional Shoreline is a beloved spot, especially for dog owners, offering vast off-leash areas and stunning Bay views. Visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, scenic trails, and beautiful sunsets. Some note the wind can be a factor, and it's essential to be comfortable around many off-leash dogs.

"Point Isabel Regional Shoreline is such a great place to explore! There are plenty of trails throughout the park, all with beautiful views of the Bay and the city skyline. It’s primarily a dog park, so you’ll see lots of pups running around — most off-leash and very friendly. If you enjoy being around dogs like I do, you’ll absolutely love it here. The area feels spacious, relaxing, and perfect for a peaceful walk, especially around sunset. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to unwind and enjoy the Bay atmosphere."

"Our favorite off-leash dog walk. It's so spacious that no one is on each other's face, beautiful views, a couple water stations and bathrooms at the 2 different parking lots. Also LOVE the folks at Mudpuppy's - we don't really need baths, but just putting my pups name on the waitlist (if there even is one) for a quick nail trim. She is the LEAST nervous when here because she's so well taken care of. Also, I see dogs running into Mudpuppy's even when they don't have a bath scheduled because they like it so much?? That's gotta say something ❤️
Tip: bring a jacket/beanie cause the Point can get REAL windy and I always forget that it can get much colder there than Oakland!"
