What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Riverside Tea Stall offers a charming, quaint experience with a focus on authentic British goods and treats like scones. While many appreciate the unique imports and cozy atmosphere, some visitors have encountered high prices and inconsistent service. It's a spot for those seeking a taste of Britain, but be prepared for potential sticker shock and varying customer interactions.
"I came here a few times so I decided to take my friend for her birthday for a quick tea and bite to eat. There are no prices listed on the blackboard, and the lady working there was already very rude off the bat. The last few times I’ve been, the staff was sweet and the prices were decent. This time, this rude worker got frustrated quickly and dropped a ball on us on how expensive everything was, especially the tea. I told her that the last two times I’ve been, I’ve gotten pots of tea for $5, only to be corrected that it’s $25. Way too much for a fast food version of tea. So with a pot of tea, a scone and a SMALL sandwich, the total came to $50. The prices aren’t even listed on the blackboard showing the food items. (Photo included) There was no clarification on 1 cup of tea versus a pot of tea, the menu just lists the tea options. As mentioned earlier, the last two employees I’ve met have given me a pot of tea for $5. Also to make our teas and food, she just grabbed the items from the shop, in which the teabag box was only $8….
Save yourself from money (and this rude worker) and spend your money on an actual tea house. “Sip and Sugar” in Anaheim Hills was a much better experience for $45 with a whole afternoon tea menu with much better tasting food and REFILLABLE tea. Spring Tea Garden in Fullerton is also a better option, plus you get a glass of champagne and side salad included in your $45. Much better deals"

"I've just left this delightful little shop. My server, Mimi, told me they've been open for about a month now. It's a combination of British goods and tea shop. If you would like to eat in the shop, they have a few small tables, and they offer a couple of different teas, including one decaf. They also have digestive biscuits and a scone. I very much enjoyed my Builders tea, my scone, my biscuits, and Mimi's company. She has excellent customer service skills. The shop offers imported meat pies, blood sausages, various Heinz products, and of course candies. I left with a bag of items that I doubt will see the far side of this coming weekend."

"Tucked away in a charming corner, this quaint little British tea house was a delightful escape. The cozy atmosphere, complete with vintage décor and delicate china, made for a warm and inviting setting. The tea selection was impressive, offering a range of classic English blends and unique herbal infusions. The scones were perfectly baked—golden, flaky, and served with clotted cream and jam. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall charm. It was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy good company over a traditional afternoon tea. Would definitely visit again!"
