The affordability of admission and special events, along with the friendly and helpful staff, are frequently highlighted positives. "Today we visited Van Hoosen Farm for the annual train show which comes around each Christmas presented by Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club. The tickets for the show were very reasonable and also allowed my wife and I to visit the museum.
The modules were amazing and each module told a story while a variety of HO trains went around the display.
A few of the modules were an airport, a farm market a winter scene, steam engine repair facility and a drive in movie theater.
All of the staff from Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club were very helpful with answering questions and providing information about model railroading.
From the barn where the trains were, we went into the museum and toured the farm through history and the staff at the museum were very helpful and pleasant to talk with.
Definitely will be back next Christmas."

"Beautiful place, Interactive for adults and children, it is also very well organized and very clean. I recommend you arrive at 12:30 p.m. to start seeing the museum for yourself and exploring and at 1 p.m. the explanation begins by a tourist guide that is already included in the ticket you pay for. The time you decide can be from about 40 min to longer. You can bring your food and eat outside. It also tends hiking to walk with your dog."

"We had the most beautiful wedding at Van Hoosen. Jenna was so great to work with. She was helpful in answering questions and really went above and beyond the day of the wedding. The grounds were beautiful. They were so accommodating and had back up plans in case it rained (which it did before and after the wedding). We can't say how much we appreciated her and the entire Van Hoosen team."
