What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Clear Creek Metro Park's stunning natural beauty, diverse terrain, and peaceful atmosphere, noting its vastness and well-maintained trails. While some wish for more dog-friendly areas, the park is widely praised for its wilderness feel and accessibility to varied hiking experiences.
"This is an absolutely gorgeous park! There's terrain that ranges from easy to challenging, with both improved and well maintained paths. It is so isolated from freeways that there is no highway sound at all, and in fact, practically no man-made or even dog-made sound at all. Feels like wilderness. If you've got good legs and decent hiking boots, I suggest heading to the far back reaches. If you like solitude, go in the evening."
David Janszen
"Great walking choice if you're looking for an option with stable footing and minimal tripping opportunities. I walked about 6 miles for exercise and enjoyed views of the river and cliffs along the way. I only wish I'd discovered this spot sooner in our week. Even my interaction with the park ranger (Steve, I think) was helpful and friendly. Great place to walk and looked like there were many excellent hiking trails, picnicing spots and even fishing to boot."
Randy Lee
"Beautiful park with lots of trails to explore. There are a couple lakes here, but you must hike to get to them. The few trails I walked were well defined and in great condition. Definitely worth a visit."
