"Beautiful March visit. Off season so not too many people out. Nice trails for leisurely walking. Now getting down into the basins is a bit of a workout, but this out of shape 50 year old did it. Wear good shoes that stay tight, you don't want slippage in the shoes. The kilns were really neat to see, each one a bit different. If you visit in the summer, bring water if going down into the base, no shade to cool off in. Didn't get to go into the center, was closed for the season."

"The moment we arrived at this spot, we were struck by its absolute beauty. The large parking lot and building that greeted us were just a preview of what was to come. As we walked towards the pits, we were mesmerized by the stunning turquoise water pools that seemed to glimmer in the sunlight. The option to either hike down the steep hills or follow the trails that lead down to the pits made for an exciting adventure. However, we soon realized that the trails can get quite muddy and challenging to navigate on rainy days due to the clay soil. Despite this, we pushed on and discovered an area near the trails that led to fishing spots and some old kilns that were once used to fire tile. Although the rain cut our exploration short, we left with the promise to return and fully experience all that this spot has to offer."
