Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the easy, family-friendly trail to Rose Valley Falls and the stunning scenic drive up Highway 33. While the waterfall's flow is seasonal and restrooms are basic, the overall experience is considered a beautiful and accessible nature escape. The campground offers a peaceful stay, though reservations are essential due to limited spots.

"It’s a short trail to the falls, 1 mile out and back. Definitely great for families with small kids. The Waterfall is beautiful but would look a lot better in spring.
You’ll drive about 30 mins in a winding road, be safe.
• The trailhead is inside Rose Valley Campground
• There’s a Campground Fee if you want to use the spaces inside if available (Cash Only, Check the Information Board at the entrance) but Street Parking is available before the Campground entrance if you don’t want to pay. You just need to walk a little extra.
• If you’re camping, reservation is recommended. There are only few available spaces.
• Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash
• Restroom on site but not clean (it’s better than none)
Since you’re there, also check the Upper and Lower Rose Lakes."

"Always a nice time here.

First, a beautiful drive up the 33.
Gorgeous curvy road. Views go on forever!

Parking is easy on the road into the Rose Valley campground or pay day use to come inside the campground.

Walk to falls is from a marked trail within the campground. Less than a 1/2 mile to the falls. Rated very easy!

Sometimes there is water. Sometimes not so much. Swim opportunities along the creek.
