Kid Friendly Destinations
Planning a road trip from Sacramento to Seattle with my wife and daughters (5 & 7 yrs old). We'll be stopping in Roseburg for 2 nights and plan to visit the Wildlife Safari. What other kid/family friendly destinations, restraunts, etc. can you recommend?
What's cool in Roseburg?
Got a job offer to consider. This year I've lived in Kuwait, France, Saudi Arabia and Portland, Oregon. I'm down with small towns, but whatcha got for fun-Family style? Edit 01/16/2015 Looking at how to get myself and family to Roseburg.

Tell me about Winston and Roseburg!
Hi, r/Oregon! I'm an Iowan who will be moving to Oregon this summer for an internship at Wildlife Safari. What can you tell me about the Winston/Roseburg area? I'm looking for things to do, good places to eat, places to hike, and maybe a place to rent a cheap car. Thanks, and I…

"Update:
We have recently been to several of our local museums and try to compare them to this one. But they just can’t! We are going to plan a whole trip around coming back with some friends and family!
This is an absolutely fantastic place to stop. We have been to a few museums recently and this is by far the best. There’s fun stuff to do for everyone. The artifacts and displays are all extremely interesting and meaningful. The entire place is well kept by people who clearly are passionate about preserving history. Truth be told I stopped in for the gift shop because I can’t pass up a trinket. We decided to get tickets on whim (which were extremely affordable at only $8) to just “pop in” and see the museum. It ended up being the highlight of our whole day! We could’ve spent two hours in there. So if you go, make sure that you make it before 2pm so you have plenty of time to see everything. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I pass through in the future :)"

"This is better than the museums I have been to that seems to be over funded but the educational journey is so swallow. And the exhibition is wide with lots to see. And yeah be ready to experience wild life with a great view of wonders."
