"Such a peaceful and pretty place! We stayed at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge and walked directly from there to Roughlock Falls (2 miles out and back round trip).
The path itself is very nice and the falls area has several boardwalks that offer close-up views of the falls and creek. Spotted a Brown Trout and a couple of deer.
Well worth a visit!"

"This is the nicest part of Spearfish Canyon. The Spearfish Falls are a better waterfall, but the area around this Fall is so pristine and so pretty, it is for sure the highlight of the area. You do not want to miss this stop."

"This falls is actually two falls, a higher fall that is easy to see from an elevated walkway, and another lower falls that is also easily accessible from a paved walkway that goes all the way down to a viewing platform.
There are picnic tables and restrooms at the start of the trail adjacent to the parking area.
You can access the falls by driving down to the access point and parking area, or by parking at the lodge along the road and walking 1.5 miles along a well developed trail to the falls."
