What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Camp Bayou a relaxing and nature-focused escape with lovely trails and a charming butterfly garden. While some appreciate the rustic feel, others note that trail markers can be confusing and mosquito repellent is essential. The early closing time and occasional lack of advertised animal encounters are minor drawbacks for some.
"My first time there was very relaxing. I wasn't prepared for the mosquitoes, but I love that they have outdoor class rooms for those interested in learning about nature. Also there's a place for hiking or just a stroll through nature. LOVED it 😊."

"Undoubtedly a very nice place to visit. We showed up with kayaks and spoke with a person at the headquarters. We were advised that the launch dock has not been repaired since Milton and that the water level is very low. This place is gated and any kayaking must be concluded by closing time which is 2pm.
We decided to go to Simmons County Park and did. We had a great time there with the manatee."
