What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
DuSable Park is a highly anticipated new development on Chicago's lakefront, set to honor the city's founder. While currently under construction, its promise of green space and historical significance is generating considerable excitement among residents and visitors alike.
"They have a nice map posted at the trailhead near the Blanchette Landing boat ramp. It would be nice if they posted it online, although it isn't completely accurate.
There is a trail along the river with good views and lots of shade. It looks almost exotic in spots. Unfortunately, as you go north there is one section that is densely overgrown so we couldn't get through. There are other options, so we continued along the path parallel to the Katy Trail. But once we got past the Highway 370 bridge, we reached a spot where the trail along the river was completely washed out."

"This is a cute little park. The gazebo is decent in size and has a picnic table. There is lots of parking. A boat ramp and really nice walking and biking trails. There are several benches along the path."

"This park is underrated in the STC area. I love coming here with my pup, pulling out my camping chair, and hanging out in the park’s field while I let my dog roam around and get his exercise. I highly recommend this place more than the park beside the river since you have more shade and a cooler breeze here!
This park is well-maintained by the city park staff. Some guests or people are just cluttering, and they don’t know how to throw their trash in the garbage cans around the park!"
