In town for 4 nights next week for a wedding. Will have a lot of time for carousing. Any must-do recommendations on food/drink in Old Town? Dive bar? Fine dining? Everything in between.

I am planning a trip to St Charles, MO. I'm coming from southern, WV so it'll take about 9 hours to get there. I plan to only stay for a weekend. Are there any tips you can give me?

Fun things to do in the area?
As the other commenter said, Main Street is an absolute gem. Lots of crazy cute little boutiques, Picasso’s is great for coffee, Frontier Perk has amazing food, the list goes on and on. There’s also the Streets of St. Charles across the highway from Main Street. It’s not so…

Is main street dying?
There are like 3 maybe 4 restaurants that serve good, real food. Then the rest of the shopping traffic comes from tourism. There are a lot of repeat businesses that are competing with each other for no reason. The quality of food has gone down, things have gotten more expensive,…

Reviews Summary
Frenchtown Historic District is praised for its charming historic architecture and unique boutique shopping, making it a delightful place to stroll. Visitors often highlight the delicious brunch options and friendly service. However, some reviews suggest a need for more diverse dining choices and mention potential competition among businesses.
"I called to see if they accepted walk-ins after being told at another establishment that I would have to wait about an hour for their piercer to even show up. They said come on over and I did. I’m so glad I did! I had 2 other ladies with me and the 3 of us were in and out in less than an hour.
The place was SPOTLESS and clean, fresh, and professional. The staff was super friendly and their prices were great! The prices initially looked high, but it includes the jewelry, so they were competitively priced and affordable.
Grasshopper was our piercer and he was quick, professional, clean, and humorous. He talked us through what he was was going to do and what he was doing so there were no surprises. This was great, especially for one of the ladies who was nervous about her piercings.
I HIGHLY recommend Frenchtown and Grasshopper! I’ll be back in the future for more piercings and tattoos!"

"Brunch was amazing. Owner out there working hard but staff friendly, receptive and attentive. Small wait to be seated. Only complaint was the coffee came out after I finished my meal, that’s how busy! Worth your time"

"Because of construction only two stars. But ok."
