Reviews Summary
The J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts is praised as a beautiful and well-appointed venue with comfortable seating and good acoustics, ideal for a variety of performances. While many enjoy the diverse events and convenient parking, some attendees have noted issues with excessively loud concert volumes and occasional distracting lighting.
"The show was fabulous and the theater is beautiful. Many upcoming wonderful events."

"The Center, itself, is a very nice looking place and a very good, not-too-large venue for concerts and other events. Parking is plentiful and easy to find. However, concert performers need to adjust their sound volume to the space, or attendees need to bring ear plugs. Case in point: The "Sara Evans" concert we recently attended had musicians playing far too loud, with the result drowning out (obliterating!) her singing, and leaving us 3/4 deaf afterward. Also, moving spotlights were randomly beaming white or yellow lights into the eyes of the audience, making it impossible to see the singer (or anything else). I suspect the music volume of this concert was the fault of the band's sound or tech person, and was bad for our ears, but the lights were bad for our eyes. Note: There were some vendors in the lobby that had nothing to do with the concert event, a Lindenwood recruitment booth, and a live band - these were all interesting, but I question the value they added."

"Ahhh, inside was pretty cool! We stopped after school summer hours (5pm according to the three security officers) 5:30. my 2 kids, their two cousins, wife and grandma walked in the building (it was unlocked) We then had 3 security guards come racing to us as if we were going to bring the building down. Overall the building was nice. But how the security guards handle the situation was not called for. They have no idea how to read your audience!!!"
