"Very unique chapel. Painted by a cook? Crazy cool and skill beyond measure
Free visit...go to go there to see this well restored place."

"An amazing Catholic mission church. Loved the history, museum and the frescos were just gorgeous! Interesting how the history said the Jesuit brother did them in his spare time when not being the mission cook! The volunteer working at the gift shop mentioned that her grandmother and great uncle were in a picture in the museum. The picture was from the late 1890s or early 1900s. The picture had about 30-40 native chiefs in it. Really cool to talk to an ancestor ! Would go back again and again! Would love to match my next visit with a Mass.
After this, I visited the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes Bison Range where I saw elk, deer, birds, pronghorn sheep, bison, native flowers/grasses and gorgeous landscape with a backdrop of the Mission Mountain Range.
Also hit up the Ninepipes National Wildlife Refuge at sunset….beyond beautiful.
All of these pretty close to each other, especially if headed to or from Kalispell"

"Some history in these buildings, all the paintings on the walls of the mission were all painted by the cook back in the day."
