What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Fairmount Hill Historic District for its family-friendly amenities, including a unique playground and a popular splash pad. The park's location on a quiet street is a plus for safety. However, a notable concern is the significant presence of bees and wasps, and inconsistent restroom availability can be an inconvenience.
"Cute park. There’s a play structure for bigger kids and one for little kids. 2 big kid swings and 2 baby swings. The splash pad is right next to the park, which is great. The park is at a dead end street so even though it’s near the road there isn’t much traffic to worry about. The 2 downsides are there is TONS and I mean TONS of bees, wasps to be exact. All over. So if you have an allergy I highly suggest picking a different park. The other downside is the bathrooms aren’t open. I’m not sure what time the splash pad actually closes, because online it says 8pm but we are here playing at 8:15pm and the water is still working 🤷🏻♀️"

"I'm rating it a tentative 5 stars. The playground structure is unique, but I honestly wasn't impressed. There is also a huge concrete slab though which used to be a water reservoir, and now you can go on top of it. The park has 2 small playground structures right next to eachother, with some small spinning toys next to it, and a huge net tower in the same area. There are restrooms and picnic tables but the picnic area is a little far."

"We discovered this park a while back when looking for a geocache near there. We found to our amazement, a bocce ball court! So we wet back to play. It's a quaint setting in a cute neighborhood. There's a splash pad, play ground, and lots of room to play. Both visits we saw other people using the park and enjoying the area."
