What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Mission San Juan for its serene beauty, historic architecture, and the unique acequia irrigation system. Many find it a peaceful place for reflection and appreciate the spiritual atmosphere during services. Some feel other missions might offer more, and occasional closures due to staffing can be a drawback.
"We moved into the area a year ago and went to several churches in the area. Once I experienced Sunday mass at Mission San Juan, I knew I found my church home! It's a simple mass, not a lot of extras. I can honestly say that I feel the presence of Christ's love both in Fr. Herbert's sermon and in the people. I absolutely look forward to going to Mass. When the weather permits, Sunday service is even held outside. It's simple, yet absolutely beautiful!"

"Beautiful place but I like the other missions better. If you don’t have time for all of them, this is the one I’d prolly be ok cutting out. We also didn’t get to see the inside, was closed for the day due to staff cuts. The irrigation system was unique and the short 0.25 mi hike behind is paved and super easy to walk. You’ll find a little stream flowing surrounded by lush vegetation. Pretty area."
