Cartoon Art Museum. It was everything I dreamt of, a magical little place by Ghirardelli Square. They had ample drawing supplies and a reading nook for kids also! Come check out the Filipino American art exhibit, Dave Steven's original artwork on the rocketeer and signed copies of Family Style by Thien Pham! --- @cartoonartmuseum @thiendog #davestevens #rocketeer #familystyle #sf #sanfrancisco

While some note its smaller size, most find it a worthwhile visit, especially for families and comic enthusiasts, offering a unique glimpse into the history of cartoon and comic art.

"A fun way to spend 40 minutes to an hour, the ticket is 10$ however it’s practically free because you get these awesome humor times newspapers for free and a gift for completing the batman treasure hunt!

It’s a good documentation of the evolution of the funnies throughout the years, it was fun seeing them evolve from very simple jokes then into satire then sarcasm then tongue-in-cheek.

There is also a free read room and a theater room with a screen showing old WB cartoons, this room is the coolest in my opinion because it has some frames from my childhood classics.

Lastly, do the Batman treasure hunt, it takes 15 minutes and if you are a fan, take some photos!

Pop in if you are close to the pier or Ghirardelli square"

"It was ok . Two rooms with books and nice pictures. We came with free library passes so we enjoyed, but if I had to pay for it I would have been a bit disappointed . Not really much to do - and it is not a museum.. maybe a mini mini museum"

Anat Levin

"Wonderful little museum on the history of comic strip art and animation. Some excellent original pieces of work rarely seen. My entire family enjoyed the experience and the library of books to read through. My daughter created her own strip to display at the museum."
