What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the San Luis Creek Walk a charming and convenient downtown stroll, perfect for a quick break with its proximity to shops and cafes. However, some caution is advised regarding nighttime safety due to the homeless population and the trail's lack of stroller accessibility.
"We love SLO and try to visit every few months. the trail itself is quaint. It is beautiful and romantic in parts. Other parts feel sketchy at night. SLO, like any other town, has a homeless contingent. And while most are harmless, it is fair to feel at unease in the more shadowed parts of the creek at night. Our dumbasses tried to traverse it with a stroller. I don’t recommend it as there is no outlet for a stroller. We had to carry ours up two flights of stairs. We only took k e photo and it doesn’t reflect the creek whatsoever. I would recommend a trip right before dusk, when the restaurants have their lights on, but it’s still bright enough outside to see. Thursday nights are the farmers markets and an optimum time to explore with a lot of people nearby."
