What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Texas State University receives mixed reviews, with many praising its beautiful campus and long legacy, particularly alumni who cherish their memories. However, significant concerns are raised regarding class availability, parking difficulties, and administrative issues, with some students finding the academic advising and faculty quality inconsistent.
"Class availability is trash. I work a full time so unless you get first dibs, finding classes for full time school is nearly impossible. I even went through the process of requesting a spot for an ONLINE class and they only open them for seniors who are graduating. If you apply here, I hope you have rich parents so you do not have to work. Also, parking sucks. School is nice on the outside, but smells like sewage and the classrooms are either super old or crammed with chairs that connect to the desks."

"As a 1995 Graduate I am so moved by the beauty and long legacy of this institution. My daughter-in-law also graduated from here and she is one of the best educators I know. I was so very blessed to be part of the SWT era and so thankful that I have cherished memories from my days as a Graduate Assistant and the wonderful Professors that helped me to become the teacher I became in Music. Love this place , there is a reason it is called San Marvelous!"

"THE WORST SCHOOL EVER, YEAH THE CAMPUS IS NICE N ALL AND THE SERVICES, BUT THE PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR POLICIES OF THE PLACE THEY ARE WORKING AT, I HAD NEVER FACED SO MANY ISSUES WITH EVERYTHING , THEY DON'T LET YOU TRASFER CREDITS, THEY TRY TO CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING, YOU CAN'T SEE AN ADVISOR WITHOUT AN APOINTMENT AND EVEN IF U GET AN APOINTMENT THATS GONNA BE A MONTH AWAY, HALF OF CLASSES I TOOK, THE FACULTYS WERE SOO TERRIBLE AT TEACHING THAT U DON'T EVEN WANNA SIT IN THE CLASS,
I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY SO MANY KIDS ARE GETTING ADMITTED HERE, MOST OF THE PROGRAM ARE NOT EVEN WORTH TAKING,"
