Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Civic Center Lagoon Park for its pleasant, accessible walking paths and abundant wildlife, making it a serene spot for strolls and nature observation. While the playground is small, the overall atmosphere is relaxing, with amenities like picnic tables and a farmer's market adding to its appeal. Some note potential parking issues during peak events.

"Really pleasant, partially shaded place to walk, with a paved, flat,
wheelchair-accessible pathway around a large pond, with benches facing the water all along the way. One circuit around the pond is 0.7 miles. There's a little fenced playground for young children, grills, picnic tables, a drinking fountain that includes a fountain for dogs, and a small restroom. On Thursday and Sunday mornings there's a great farmer's market in the northwest parking lot. Plenty of parking on both ends of the pond and on the street (except during the annual county fair around July 4th). It's common to see wildlife, especially birds; there are always ducks and geese, and often you'll see Great Blue Herons, small turtles, small fish, migratory birds, and once I saw a Green Heron. At dusk/night there may be a coyote or two. Watch out for duck/goose poop, and be aware that people and dogs are not allowed in the water. Lagoon Park is part of a kind of community complex that includes an auditoruium and exhibit hall that host events, a veterans' memorial, other areas to walk, a petanque court, a fenced dog park ("Field of Dogs"), and the county Civic Center."

"We were passing through and stopped in out of curiosity. The kids really enjoyed walking by the lake, but the playground is very small. We also climbed up to the golden tower, which offers a stunning view."

Анастасия Махова

"Lagoon Park is a really nice park. It has a good amount of open space for various activities. There is a walking path around the lagoon. There is a playground. And there's a good amount of birds and ducks in the park."
