What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Santa Fe National Cemetery is widely praised as a beautiful and peaceful resting place for veterans, with many appreciating the well-maintained grounds and respectful staff. However, some visitors have expressed disappointment with the burial process, citing a lack of solemnity and logistical issues during interments.
"Peaceful and beautiful resting place for our beloved veterans and their family. I have several family and friends buried here. Over the years the office staff has always been professional, kind, and respectful. However the employees who bury our loved ones have no respect for the dead or their family and friends. Due the the cemetery rules , we could not go be at the burial site . We could only watch from the car. The employees who lowered my father into the ground did so hastily with unbuttoned uniform shirts, with no seriousness of the matter. We had to park far away due to the equipment trailers and other employee vehicles. I could not tell if my mothers ashes were placed with my father. When I was able to get to his grave, I found that his flowers were placed on someone else's grave. This is not how a cemetery for our veterans should operate. I feel respect should be given throughout the entire process."

"My company is contracted to build a new wall in the back to extend the grounds out a bit. But the few workers I've had interactions with were respectful."

"Beautiful cemetery that shows respect for our veterans and their loved ones. This is where all the heroes rest that served proudly for the USA."
