Best place to sit near the water?
New to town from seattle… what’s the best place in Bremerton (a park maybe?) To sit quietly and listen to lapping water? Your tips would be so appreciated!
Seabeck; Wa taken in summer of 2018. I’ve always thought it belonged on a postcard 🏷

swimming in hood canal?
I'm new to the bremerton area, and I'd really like to do some salt water swimming this coming summer. I'm prepared for it to be cold, but I understand the water temperature is high enough in Hood canal in the summer to enjoy. Is Twanoh the best place to go? What is the best…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Scenic Beach State Park for its beautiful mountain views, peaceful atmosphere, and well-maintained, private campsites. The playground and beach access are highlights for families. Some find the rocky beach challenging for walking, and tide fluctuations can impact beach enjoyment.
"I love that there are so many state parks to camp at and there’s always one close enough to you. This campground is only 36 miles from my house, not too close and not to far away.
I went with my next door neighbor and her 3 children, they were in a tent and I was in my old truck camper.
The kids had a great time, the plus was the playground close to our campsite. Also, the beach was fun.
Haven’t been camping since 2022, so this was a treat.
I mentioned the kids having fun, we two ladies had a good time too!
Great place for a day trip, or spending the nights."

"Peaceful and Serene if you can ever find yourself at the park alone. Gorgeous view. Small Beach but certainly affected by tides. Did not see any hiking trails if there are any but we did see places to camp."

"Very clean sites and bathrooms. All the sites are secluded off with trees and bushes making it feel really private. There’s parks for the kids to play in and beautiful trails that lead you to a rocky beach. And the showers are free! All around 10/10 spot."
