Reviews Summary
Seaside Wildlife Nature Park is a beloved, peaceful escape known for its charming pirate-themed playground and beautiful waterfront views. While the lack of immediate restroom facilities has been a long-standing issue, upcoming construction promises an upgrade. Visitors appreciate its calm atmosphere, opportunities for wildlife spotting, and suitability for families and dog walkers, though some note the presence of dog waste on paths.
"Seaside Wildlife Nature Park may be on the smaller side, but it’s a peaceful little escape from the busy streets of Staten Island. It’s a great spot to take your dog for a walk and get some fresh air, and there’s also a small playground area for kids to enjoy. They’re currently building new bathrooms, which will be a nice upgrade.
One of my favorite parts of the park is the small wooden bridge that goes over the marsh — it’s a quiet, scenic spot that makes you feel tucked away from the city. In the summertime, if you look closely near the rocks, you can sometimes spot snakes and salamanders, which is a cool bonus for nature lovers. Overall, it’s a cozy, underrated park perfect for a calm afternoon outdoors."

"Lovely park, restrooms being built on the site. Has an adjunct small boardwalk through a salt marsh. Additionally, a nautically themed playground locals call Pirate Park is adjacent to the large field and walking loop of the main park. Many people bring dogs to walk in this park. There are a lot of dog poop smears marking the walking loop, it's residue left after owners pick up their dog's poop. There is a lovely view of the water here by Great Kills harbor. There are swans that visit by the water near to Pirate Park."

"The park is beautiful, not super crowded and next to the water. We had a family picnic here and it had everything EXCEPT a bathroom, which is currently under construction. Other then that it was a pleasant area with a great playground for the little ones. My son absolutely had a blast here."
