I decided to revisit Discovery Park on Friday amid the unusually warm weather in March. This was a pleasant surprise and I’m so glad I was able to get myself together to come here. Should I do more voiceovers? 😅 ✨ READ THE CAPTION THOUGH ✨ Lol, not me doing my first voiceover a reel. But here I am, always attempting to get out of my comfort. If I’m able to do the store closing announcement at m...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Discovery Park for its stunning natural beauty, extensive trail system, and breathtaking views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. It's considered a true gem offering an escape into nature within the city. Some find certain trails moderately challenging, especially the descents and ascents to the beach, and note that the lighthouse interior isn't always open.

"Gorgeous trails! Although we went on a rainy afternoon, it was beautiful and peaceful. I loved seeing the Puget Sound up close. Glad I wore boots and took snacks. Come prepared to walk, we walked for almost four hours. We did walk all over the park. Well worth it though, some trails are secluded and hidden. Truly nestled in nature!"

Sharon M

"A true gem. Was pretty blown away by this park in every way. Huge, full of different types of trails and pathways. Bluffs overlooking the water, views of the cascades and mt rainier, waterfront access and a cool lighthouse, and greenery upon greenery.

Some of the paths were moderately challenging for sure, especially if you go fully down to the beach and back up. But man, what an experience. Loved every second of it."

Bernard Jeremy

"Stunning views of the Puget Sound area. Perfect place for a weekend or holiday picnic, with sweeping views of the olympic mountains, and Mt.Rainier. Interesting Lighthouse to view, and a few miles of beach to walk on and enjoy the scenery of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Highly recommend spending 1/2-1 full day to explore all the trails that this gem has to offer. Parking is by permit only, so make sure to park near the reserved housing before the descent down into the beach area."
