Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the National Nordic Museum for its beautifully designed, light-filled space and fascinating exhibits on Nordic history and immigration. The Freya Café is a highlight for its delicious Nordic-inspired food. However, some find the admission price steep, and a few note that souvenir shop items aren't always authentically Nordic.

"There is a parking lot in the back. We paid $2 for one hour Inside is a gift shop and a coffee shop. Coffee was good. Pastries are also available. Some were gluten free. All unique and looked yummy. The service was fast and friendly.
The gift shop has unique items.... None that I saw were made by anyone of Nordic descent... I'm not sure why anyone would buy a souvenir claiming to represent a certain place, that is actually made in China, Thailand, Malaysia etc. I walked out.
We didn't go into the museum portion. Cost: $20 per person. We were on a troll hunt and enjoyed the artistry of the troll in front of the building."

"It was a 2 hours well spent. Beautifully designed and full of light, this museum offers a fascinating look into Nordic history, culture, and immigration stories. The exhibits are interactive and well-curated, blending ancient artifacts with modern design. Don’t miss the Freya café—great Nordic-inspired food! A peaceful, enriching stop in Ballard."

"Cute little museum,  lots of artifacts and  history.  Very knowledgeable folks who are more than willing to give assistance!
It was very interesting to read all the historical info especially about the immigration of many of the nordic folks to Seattle.  Highly recommend to visit for free in the first Thursday of the month."
