What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the museum for its significant historical content, particularly the compelling story of Seneca Village and the broader African American narrative. The friendly staff, like Shelby, are frequently mentioned. However, some art classes are noted for their lack of instruction and strict attendance policies.
"I went for the Paint on the Patio class and it’s definitely not for beginners. No instructions what so ever. You can pick a picture to paint and some of the pictures have a colored paper picture on top to give you an idea of what colors to use for your painting. But like I said no instructions what so ever your totally on your own. Also don’t arrive until time for the class because you will be waiting in your car or outside somewhere on the property. You can’t sit on the patio until time for the class to start not one minute early. Also don’t ask to go to the ladies bathroom because it’s an hour class you have to hold your bladder. (Which is hard for some of us older ladies) So if you decide to take these classes have fun."
