What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary

While some find the stairs challenging, most agree the views and the continuation to the beach are well worth the effort. Parking and trail options provide flexibility for different visitor needs.
"Nice cascading waterfall on the eastern end of Pictured Rocks . There are at least two different parking areas to choose from. The closest one is right next to the falls and youll just have to take the stairs (and there is a considerable number of steps to descend at that) . I parked at the Grand Sable Visitor Center and there was a little hike to go on just to get you to the stairs. It was an easy hike ( that also takes you right by Au Sable Dunes) so if you're looking for a little extra exercise, or have aspirations of tuckering out the youngsters then you might want topark accordingly. Would be absolutely gorgeous during peak leaf peeping season as trees are in an abundance"

"One of our favorite stops as we worked our way through Pictured Rick State Park. The hike to falls was super short which a few in our group appreciated and then it wasnt much further to the beach which had the best rock picking g and if you stayed by the fall/stream entering the lake the water was really warm. There was a sand dune near by that was fun to watch people climb. This was not a waterfall you could really get in and play but it was pretty. There are 168 steps though so that was some thigh work but planting of la dings with benches to rest on the way up. I would have spent more time at this one after visiting most the other stops, this beach was better than 12 mile."

"Beautiful place 😍 168 steps down so be aware that you have to climb 168 steps to get back up but it's worth every step."
