What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Huber Park is praised for its new, fenced playground and scenic riverwalk, offering a pleasant environment for biking and picnics. However, the playground's design is noted to be more suitable for older children, with limited shade and seating being common drawbacks. The amphitheater adds to its appeal with potential for outdoor concerts.
"Nice playground, it has playground for small and big kids.
It has restrooms. Picnic area and open auditorium i believe it,it is called.
Spacious parking lot.
Nice ambiance. I saw a lot of adults biking."

"The playground is nice and new. It's definitely geared toward older kids, though. While there are a couple of swings and a smaller piece of toddler-oriented equipment, my 2.5 year old was quickly bored and frustrated at not being able to get up to the larger slides; my 5-year old was not tall enough to do some of the climbing required for the main equipment. The zip line is also for older kids. The main equipment is labeled for ages 5-12 but I would skip for kids younger than 6 or so."

"This park is on my Wooden Playgrounds In MN list. It is not wooden at all, looks to be pretty new equipment. Wonderful playground with challenging equipment for older children. Plenty of handicap friendly equipment as well. The base of the playground is soft synthetic material. Completely fenced in except for the entrance, wonderful feature."

Navigating the Playground
Accessibility is a plus, with some handicap-friendly equipment available. The fencing around the playground is a great safety feature, though it has an open entrance. One common suggestion is the lack of shade and sufficient seating directly within the playground area, so bringing your own shade or planning visits during cooler parts of the day is advisable.
The Riverwalk Experience
It's important to note that the river's proximity means the area can be subject to flooding. Visitors planning to use the riverwalk, especially during spring or early summer, should check local conditions beforehand to ensure accessibility. Despite this, the riverwalk is a key feature that complements the park's other amenities, offering a tranquil contrast to the playground.
Amphitheater and Events
While the amphitheater itself is a point of interest, its use is seasonal and event-dependent. The surrounding park provides ample space for attendees, and the general ambiance of an outdoor concert in a park setting is often a highlight for visitors.
