What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the historical significance of the Lottie Cooper shipwreck display and the scenic views from the marina. However, some express disappointment with the reduction in amenities and increased rates since the city took over management, noting a decline in the overall experience compared to previous years.
"Great place to enjoy beautiful views of the lake. There are a few good local restaurants here as well. There's a lovely little beach on the opposite side of the resort."
Keith Jackson
"Stopped to see the shipwreck remains of the Lottie, they are amazing. Great job by the city of Sheboygan and the artists who set this up for giving us a window into the past. The emotional gravity that accompanies the physical gravity and spacial presence of a relic like this brings it's story and the history of wooden ships alive.
Bring your kids! Take your time! Thank you to all who had a hand in making this possible!"
Erik Saynisch
"The marina used to be great when it was managed by f3. But the city ruined it. The new bar that had opened up top was amazing the two years before the city decided how to run it- it closed the pool- the hot tub- the bar- and the ship store- now there is no reason to go to the marina and our club that used to go there every year has stopped going there due to lack of amenities. The city needs to wake up to what is important for boaters-"
