Reviews Summary

Guests rave about the Palace Hotel's exceptional staff and historic charm, calling it a step back in time. While the vintage decor and welcoming atmosphere are major draws, some visitors note that the mattresses can be very firm and that air conditioning in suites might be insufficient on extremely hot days. Despite these minor points, the value and unique experience make it a highly recommended stay for history enthusiasts.

"This is an historic hotel, so if you are looking for modern amenities, this is not the place for you! But if you are looking to step back in time, be sure to check in here! The hotel is being lovingly restored, the bed was comfy, the breakfast in the morning was delightful. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and safe. The best part of this hotel however is the staff! They went above and beyond as the absolute most gracious hosts! Sandra Dee's human was absolutely delightful. So helpful, friendly, and attentive. She made us feel at home and made the whole stay perfect! We will be returning soon!"

"I stayed at the Palace Hotel for two nights and was very impressed. It is a historically interesting location to stay. Employees were helpful and friendly. Downtown location was awesome, several great restaurants nearby. I was visiting to reminisce as I had several decades earlier lived in Silver City and worked at the now apparently long closed hardware store next to the Palace Hotel."

"Great location, friendly service BUT, the mattress on the bed has to be a box spring it's so hard! I mean rock hard. The one very small air conditioner does not keep this two room suite cool, AT ALL. It's 95 degrees outside and one side of this suite is remaining at 80 degrees. Why don't they put one in each room? We paid for a suite and can't even use the other room. We are subjected to stay in the bedroom area, and our choices for seating are either a very hard bed or two uncomfortable chairs."
