✨Last weekend was pure magic. ✨ We unplugged, packed up the Turtle Shuttle, and headed deep into the Florida wild—camping at the breathtaking Juniper Springs Recreation Area. We splashed in crystal-clear waters, swam with turtles and anhingas, laughed under the sun, and slept beneath a canopy of stars. Reviews Summary

Juniper Springs offers a beautiful natural spring with crystal-clear water, ideal for swimming and enjoying nature. However, many recent visitors express disappointment with the high admission fees, the condition of some facilities, and the closure of certain trails. The challenging kayak run is a highlight for some but a deterrent for others.

"Juniper Springs used to be a beautiful place, but much of the facility is clearly in disrepair. The boardwalk through the jungle has been broken for a long time and doesn’t seem to be getting fixed. There used to be a way to swim along the river, but that’s no longer possible either. The spring itself is lovely for swimming, and the jungle trail could be wonderful if it were maintained and open for public. As it stands, though, the park is in serious need of renovation. At $60 (Labour day), the admission feels way too expensive, especially when there are other springs and state parks nearby where you can pay around $10 per car and enjoy a well-kept experience."

"We went to Juniper Springs on a Saturday around 2 in the afternoon. There was about a 30 minute wait to get in. We didn't realize that we'd been there before but quickly recognized it after seeing the spring.

Juniper is a medium sized spring. There is a wall built up around it with a ledge in the water. The area around the spring is terraced to allow people to sit on a flat surface.

Pros: staff is friendly. No reservations required. Feels great in the heat. Bugs aren't bad in the summer. Buzzards leave you alone.

Cons: If you want to snorkel, there's really not much to see. The springs is small enough and has a sandy bottom and can get pretty cloudy with everyone swimming in it. Boardwalk is down for the time being."

Mark Mauerman

"This place is ridiculously priced we were charged $46 for three people and EVERYTHING except the small swim hole was open. The trails are very unkempt , the bathrooms were disgusting thank goodness the lights didn't even work in them otherwise it was probably worse then we thought, there no one was around to help, there is no reason to be charging these prices for literally nothing offered. Go to Silver Springs it's beautiful and they only charge $5 a car load! DO BETTER, close up or charge WAY LESS!!"
