What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Silverton Country Museum for its well-preserved exhibits and the passion of its volunteer guides. It's seen as a valuable free attraction offering a deep dive into outback history and cinematic connections. Some note the remote location requires careful planning.
"Love how preserved and maintained this area is!"

"Silverton still believes .. in having a Gem (more than meets the eye; the buildings viewed from the outside are connected within) of a local history museum. If you're a baseball, trivia, or natural resource fan this free (suggested $2 donation) museum/historical shrine to the Mid-Willamette should be on your list. Photos of a great blazing star flower down the street. Silverton is the more low-key, less developed Salem. Free tire air at the Shell station down the street, brewery (and Mac's Place) have live music frequently. Although we didn't make it to Gallon house bridge, you can't go wrong with the 10+ beautiful murals around town. They are not lying about being The garden city (everywhere; this town is bursting at the seams with florescence) either"

"Real old Knowledgeable people volunteer there.
You should visit them soon."
