"This trail isn't for beginners. No not unless they are used to walking straight uphill for at least a mile and it's steep. I walk daily and I thought I'd start doing some trails. I picked this one for my first go at it and no it's so steep it's kinda difficult to walk back down. You really need to pay attn. Which is hard to do with the great elevated views of Simi that it has. I will make my way back up there but only after I've conquered some easier trails first. I'm thinking Happy Camp in Moorpark or maybe even the trail in Wood Ranch.
All that said it's seems like it's an advanced trail with good trail markers and great views..I can't wait to return.."

"The pull to explore Rocky Peak’s cave was irresistible; the approach trail climbs steadily but rewards you with interesting rock formations. The cave mouth makes for a neat photo op and a tiny reprieve from sun exposure. Hike early to avoid heat and bring shoes with decent traction. The park is quiet on weekdays and good for solitude. Pair it with other nearby ridgeline trails for a fuller day"

"Beautiful hiking trail.very easy, well maintained, a lot trails, and gorgeous rocks formations. To reach the peak is just 2.60miles so 5 miles around trip maybe a little more, I stop a lot getting out of the trail try to explore , the cave, and the tutle rock also a big rock with the heart shape. Very nice views..I really enjoyed this hiking , definitely I come back. There is not graffiti except in the caves, please🙏 people don't write your %$#@ name on the rocks,keep it clean. There is not that much parking there is another parking lot big but you ve to walk a lot..."
