Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center for its engaging, lifelike exhibits and friendly staff. The interactive nature of the displays, especially the animated statues, makes history accessible and enjoyable for all ages. While some may find the focus specific to a particular segment of the expedition, the overall experience is highly educational and well-maintained.

"Excellent stop. Beautiful building. Friendly staff.
Easy to learn about the Expedition with the displays. Especially impressed with the talking, life-like statues. Walk to the back for a small art gallery experience. The grounds are beautiful too."

Kelly Ratcliff

"Well, I only attended a presentation by a native American dance troupe.
But the center had a grassy area with lots of room, extra chairs for those who forgot theirs, and a fine stage area. The stage and seating area felt wheelchair accessible. I had my walker and got around fine. The exhibition was free to attend, with a donation box available.

Everything was maintained to perfection. This place was just opening when I left Sioux City more than 20 years ago. From the outside where I was, the darn place looks like it had its grand opening a week ago!

Should I check out the inside LOL? Probably."

Mark Newman

"Very cool, free, educational place! Helpful volunteers. Definitely kid friendly, which is nice for when parents want to take a little longer looking at the exhibits. They had a scavenger hunt for the kids to look for, as well as a free passport stamp type booklet. Animated statues that told the stories of their explorers."
