So this one is for you. 😉 👆Stone State Park is one of my favorite state parks in Iowa. 🥾And one of the best views for the least amount of effort in the whole state. The entire “hike” is what you see here. 🙌All you have to do is make it up the ...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Stone State Park for its serene atmosphere, beautiful trails, and scenic overlooks, making it a beloved spot for nature lovers in all seasons. While the park is free and accessible, some minor issues like campsite pad dimensions and road-integrated trails are noted, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

"Nice, quiet hike. Be beautiful and serene. Gate closes at 4 pm, so make sure you are parked at the lower lot previous to this time. Nature Center is closed Sundays and Mondays."

Mark Frailey

"I love this place, in every season. It’s beautiful and quiet with some really nice trails. I love looking at the flowers."

Olivia Forrester

"Beautiful park and nice staff. I had to give only 4 stars bc site 8 had the electric post over by site 7, on the wrong side for 8. Also, the website does plainly say the pad for this site is only 8' wide, but what it doesn't say is there are RR ties around 3 sides of the pad, stacked 2 high for some reason. It makes it very difficult to back in to site 8. I didn't see this problem with other sites, so I do recommend this park."
