What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Yosemite's unparalleled natural beauty, from towering granite cliffs to majestic waterfalls. The hiking trails, especially the Mist Trail, are frequently praised for their stunning scenery. However, some find the park can feel desolate due to scorched pines and the sheer scale of the wilderness, leading to a sense of isolation on trails.
"A bit of a gloomy place because of the scorched pines and desolation. It is kind of a place I am always aware I am alone on the trail. Lots of bear poop. As a hike, it is not TOO difficult. All the way up but the elevation is gradual. 3500 ft elevation gain over 6.5 miles (13 m. out and back). I lost the track near the very top, literally for the last 50 feet or so. Did not scramble because the light day was pressing to go back. And good that I did, the trail back was not that obvious with not much light time to improvise... There was some running water near the top in September but safer to store some. Remember, Hetch Hetchy is way warmer than the rest of Yosemite. Go with company and early :)"
