What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Neuse Little Theatre for its charming, historic log cabin venue and the quality of its local productions. The intimate atmosphere and reasonable prices are frequently highlighted as positives. However, some reviews mention a perceived 'clique' and potential favoritism within the community theater structure.
"We had a grand time at the theater with a great friend visiting from outta town. We saw Arsenic and Old Lace and the cast was spot on! The place is small and dated but otherwise a fun evening! Grateful they are still producing solid plays in this little corner of the south. Happy 50th!!"

"We just had our first visit to the NLT this past weekend. The building is really unique and we were immediately curious about its history. Built in 1934 as a WPA project, I appreciate that they have preserved this space as a 110 seat theater. All the seats are good and the acoustics work well to hear the actors dialog. The cast and crew did a great job producing the play that we saw. We will be keeping an out for future shows to come see. Also, parking was easy and plentiful just across the street."

"A lot of favoritism for a "community" theater . They will push you out if not part of their clique . It's sad more than anything. Glad I walked away years ago . Also , I was Just told they use board members over and over again for plays bc not enough people show up to auditions. But that's a lie And an excuse not to use the community. I know people that were just asked to be in plays that have never auditioned - how is this fair to those that do show up ?? I would never help them again unless All new people ran it But that will never happen bc they don't let anyone new in Unless they are like them all , fake . They say they want help but they really don't unless you are just like them and self centered . And I just got blocked by nlt member when they wanted explanation of my 1 star review. They didn't want to listen and call me a narcissist and blocked me. My opinion is a community theater should be about the community, not themselves."
