Visitors appreciate the unparalleled convenience of driving directly onto the beach, making it easy to transport gear and set up for a day of fun. The clean facilities and the trash bag refund program are also frequently praised. However, some find the beach narrow with constant car traffic, which can be a concern for families with young children.
"Reach there before 7pm and get your tickets. We can camp there the night. Clean place. Washrooms and open showers were crowded. No washroom access after 10pm."

We had a great time , the beach was clean , no broken seashells!! I love the return the trash bag and get a refund!! Helps with keeping the area clean!! Great for the environment!! A+ on that !!! We will be back to visit!"

"There are pros and cons about this park. The pros are that you can drive on the beach and park and have all your beach gear right there. You don't have to walk far. They have restroom/shower facilities there when you first pull in. You can bring pretty much anything, tent, grill, dogs, radios, alcohol etc. The cons are that the beach isn't that wide, so there are a lot of cars driving by constantly, and they are pretty close to you when you are relaxing on the beach. It's definitely not safe for toddlers. Overall, though, it's pretty cool that you can drive on the beach and hang out all day!"

The Convenience of Drive-On Beach Access
However, this convenience comes with a trade-off: the beach can feel more like a parking lot at times, with cars constantly driving by. While this offers a unique experience, it's important to be aware of your surroundings, especially if you have young children. The beach itself isn't exceptionally wide, so cars can be quite close to where you're relaxing. Despite this, the ability to have your car so close to the water is a major advantage that sets this park apart from many others on the island.
Maximizing Your Visit: Passes and Amenities
The park is equipped with essential amenities to enhance your beach day. You'll find restroom and shower facilities near the entrance, which are generally reported as clean and well-maintained. A covered picnic pavilion is also available, providing a shaded area for group gatherings, meals, or simply escaping the midday sun. While this pavilion is a great asset, it can become quite busy during peak seasons, so arriving early is advisable.
Furthermore, the park actively encourages visitors to help keep the beach clean through a unique trash bag refund program. By returning a full bag of trash, you can receive a refund, incentivizing responsible waste disposal and contributing to the preservation of the natural beauty of the area.
