What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Southold Historical Museum's Maple Lane Complex for its rich history and the dedication of its staff. The guided tours are particularly highlighted for their informative and engaging nature, making the historical experience come alive. While some find the place small, the willingness of the ladies to share details and the preservation of local heritage, like the Pinecrest Dunes exhibit, are consistently appreciated.
"During a Reunion at our old Camp, Pinecrest Dunes, I visited the Society with 2 of my Counselors, James McShane and Buck Bartley. The Staff went out of their way to assist us in reviewing the extensive Camp Memorabilia they had accumulated, most of which was included in the Pinecrest Dunes Exhibit conducted a few years earlier. We spent almost 3 hours combing through our childhood History, which would have gone to the dump were it not for the work of the Society in preserving it. The Alumni of Pinecrest Dunes Thanks the Society, and can count on our continued support."
