Historic Blakeley State Park is located on the site of the former town of Blakeley in Baldwin County, Alabama on the Tensaw River delta. The park encompasses an area once occupied by settlers in what was a thriving community on the river. Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Historic Blakeley State Park's expansive natural beauty, rich history, and well-maintained facilities. The park is praised for its abundant shade, diverse wildlife, and excellent camping options. Some minor issues include trail map inaccuracies and the presence of spiders on certain paths.

"The park is very big with lots of trails to explore. Beware of spiders they are the most prevalent thing you will see, sometimes blocking paths. But other than that it is perfect. We'll kept. Wide variety of wildlife and plants. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to be out in nature with plenty of shade and beautiful sights. Bathrooms and trash cans are plentiful. Also historical things to see. Have fun!!"

Matthew Evans

"Great place to visit with the family.

Beautiful hiking and MTB trails. 4 stars because the map they hand out for the trails is not 100% accurate (use Strava or the trailforks app to navigate) and there were a few areas that still need repair. There was evidence of many repairs recently made, so I’m sure they are on schedule to be repaired soon.

The RV sites are very nice. Ample parking and maneuvering space, relatively screened from adjacent sites. The park managers do a good job of spacing people out. :)"

Geneva Dummer

"It's such a lovely state park with so much history! It is very well maintained and I can't wait to camp here! The walking trails are very nicely marked to let you know if they are hiker/bike/horse safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful and also provided us with a map. I have more trips planned and can't wait to come back!"
