Visitors consistently praise the Bily Clocks Museum for its unique craftsmanship and the fascinating story of the Bily brothers. The connection to composer Antonín Dvořák is also a significant draw. While some guides may be less engaging, the overall experience is highly recommended for its historical and artistic value.
"This place is very interesting for historical reasons as well as the unique clocks with amazing craftsmanship.
The story of the two Bily brothers and the clocks they made is a wonder. Best to wait for a tour to start than just wandering around reading the signs.
Our guide was young guy who gave a rather stiff presentation and demonstration of the clocks. It’s obvious he knows his stuff and am sure with practice he will become more engaging.
Upstairs is where the story of Dvorak is told with artifacts along with more clocks, not made by the brothers but collected by them.
Definitely worth a trip."

"An amazing find with some really interesting local history that has made worldwide attention due to Dvoraks music written in Spillville IA and the Bily brother's hand made and crafted works of art clocks. Truly worth seeing and taking the little tour about the brother's and their clocks."
Shawn Schroeder
"Excellent tour guides and beautiful one of a kind clocks! But for me, the biggest attraction in the Bily Clocks Museum are the two organs and a violin that the great composer Antonin Dvorak played when he stayed in Spilville in 1893. Dvorak is said to have heard distinct bird songs while staying in Spilville that he mimicked with flutes, clarinet, French horns and violins which can be heard in his famous 9th Symphony known as "The New World Symphony" which was first performed in New York City in late 1893 and has been performed countless times since by orchestras great and small."
