What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Podium is a modern, versatile venue praised for its excellent facilities for indoor track and concerts, with good sound and comfortable seating. However, visitors frequently cite high concession prices, expensive parking, and strict entry policies as significant drawbacks. Some reviews also mention occasional cleanliness issues in restrooms and dining areas.
"For Washington Freeztyle/Greco State Championships its $15 per day for parking, $21 for 2 days for each spectator, there’s NO food or drinks with the exception of water for ATHLETES who are there for hours and hours so that you HAVE to buy their “healthy options” that are extremely overpriced and not the food that the majority of athletes eat. $6 for one drink is obnoxious. Not to mention that they were out of a ton of stuff. If you just wanted to snack on a candy that was $5.50 for the size that you get at the Dollar Store. They didn’t have spoons for the açaí bowls so I had to go looking at the other food areas to find one. The tables in the eating area were all filthy and the bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper so I’m glad I brought my wet wipes. The garbages were overflowing too. I was hopeful that this would be a better experience than the Tacoma Dome but they at least let the athletes bring food and drinks in. Normal families are being priced out of kids’ sports and it’s gotten absolutely ridiculous."

"My husband and I went here for the HIM and Black Veil Brides concert and it was pretty great! 😃 The building is very nice and kept quite clean, the grandstand seating was nice as we were able to decide where we wanted to sit, the sound system was great and the show both bands put on were spectacular! 😄 The only downside was we weren't allowed bottles so even water had to be poured into a cup with no lid, but they said that was per the artist's request so it may not always be like that. 🤔☺️"

"Last time we came for a Westling event, the people, the staff, was nicer, and we could have the inflatable lounger that the wrestlers love. This year, they banned them. I am sure they made a ton of money on the event, but I also know after being there all day and not having anything but the ground to sit on the athletes get cramped and cold. One of the staff actually kicked the inflatable with the kid in it next to me. I can see it not being allowed on the arena floor, but in the pit downstairs is a bit much. The new food options were nice, and having something besides greasy pizza and hamburgers for those who still want to watch food intake was a perfect option."
