Wow! I just had to share what an incredible experience the Air Combat Museum is. I was absolutely blown away from the moment I walked in. This place isn't just a collection of planes; it's a stunning tribute to aviation history, and you can feel the passion in every corner.
First, the aircraft. The collection is phenomenal, featuring true legends of the sky. But what really got me was how close you can get to them and the incredible condition they're in. These aren't just dusty relics; they are meticulously maintained machines that gleam under the lights. It honestly feels like they could roar to life at any moment. The level of care and preservation is just top-notch.
Beyond the planes, the entire facility is spotless. The upkeep of the museum is truly amazing. You can tell that there is an immense amount of pride taken in keeping this place in perfect order, which shows so much respect for the history it protects.
Finally, the staff is the heart and soul of the museum. Every single person I interacted with was not just friendly, but genuinely enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable. "Small, but very nice selection of WWII birds and memorabilia. My husband and I enjoyed the tour we received from Alexander. He shared very interesting stories about the airplanes and has an impressive knowledge of WWII warbirds.
The only improvement I would suggest is have the employees update the "Closed" sign when they go to lunch. We drove 2 hrs to visit and when we arrived at 12:40, the sign said "Closed -- Returning at 8:00". We assumed they had decided not to open that day and were planning on just leaving until a guy in the parking lot told us they had all just gone to lunch and would be back at 1:30. We would have missed the opportunity to see this nice museum had it not been for him."

"Cool place to visit. They have several military aircraft that you can see including a P-40 under restoration. If you are into aircraft this is worth checking out. No admission fee. You have to push the red button on the simulated instrument panel by the door."
