"Spent a very enjoyable, easy-paced 3 hours in this beautiful setting learning some most important history of how this area in particular, and the east coast as a whole, was very much a most important part of the US war effort. Very interactive museum with some very devoted staff. My father was a WWII, Korean and Vietnam War veteran and I enjoyed this museum’s way of drawing me in and explaining how the Brunswick/SSI was unique in that it had a Blimp Airfield, Navy Radar & Pilot Training base, and a vital Liberty Ship Building yard crucial to the war effort.
Lots of areas for quiet reflection and shared personal oral histories. Highly recommend!"

"A pleasant experience at the former coast guard house. The displays are well-done and there are some interactive activities for the younger ones. I see plenty of WWII museums but few that dedicate themselves solely to the efforts back at home. Bravo!"
