Have you ever seen a Red Beach? You can find this beautiful gem in the Southwestern Coast of Santorini. It’s near the Akrotiri Village. The red sand and volcanic rocks are a result of iron oxide deposits from Volcanic eruptions. It’s secluded and serene. You can get there via bus from the main town of Santorini, car or boat ride. We opted for the bus and then did the hike down to the beach. It was...

Reviews Summary

Visitors are captivated by the unique natural spring and the dramatic red rock formations. The scenic drive along Highway 1 is a major draw, though some find the road challenging. While the spring water is a point of interest, its untested nature is noted. The beach itself offers stunning views but can be rugged.

"New experience! My first time know there is one spring stream comes from rock. Where everyone stop by to take the water daily.

From our parking area for hiking to the steep ravine trail. I saw a lot of local people come with big tank to collect the water. I doubted myself should i give it a sip. Water's not so cold, but fresh with plain - no weird taste. I heard from local women that the water's tested in couple yrs back.
Stop by if you are around Stinson Beach Area.

Question: Is spring water safe to drink?

Ans: It can be, but not always guaranteed."

Scarlett Ng

"There is mountain spring water here, and I am guessing that a mountain spring has a historical story. And this water will have magical powers. A gift from nature. When I came here, I saw a nearby resident fetching water, he was very nice. But she said the water here has not been tested by any agency and cannot be guaranteed to be completely safe to drink. I understand what he means. I try to bring a small bottle full of nature-tasting gifts."

Mic

"The road to get there was scary on Highway 1. You feel like your right on top of the edge of the mountain, about to glide in the ocean. But we discovered this site and had water and then continued into Stinson beach. We saw many small dead jellyfish on the beach. Clean and beautiful."
